Self Empowerment rests with the decisions you make today.

TODAY is a brand new day chock a block full of potential… YOUR potential!!

Make it THE day to transform yourself, begin your self empowerment journey, take back control of your life and begin manifesting your dreams!

All that has gone before this day is old news…but are you stuck on replay? Are you living the life you’d always imagined, or have you given up trying and settled for an OK second best?

Tina Su once said,

“Every morning is a new beginning, a new chance for you to re-write the story of your life.”

This is a wise philosophy, for self empowerment begins first with the knowledge and more importantly, the belief, in your internal power to change any aspect of your life whenever you so choose. Even if you are reasonably satisfied with where your life’s at right now, ask yourself, could it be better? Am I truelly happy or am I just doing what’s expected of me….am I simply comfortable because I am living a predictable existence, within habitual patterns that reassure me & make me feel secure?

What effect does unexpected CHANGE have upon your world- does it “rock” it like Mt Vesuvius erupting in your backyard or are you able to respond to an unexpected turn of events with a deep breath and then a mmmm….wonder what the Universe has in store for me to learn this time! The hard cold reality, is we learn to ignore our inner inspired voice of empowerment, in the hope it will be easier to comply with what is expected of us, in what becomes known as the day to day grind, head down, bum up, flat out doing something we often find exceptionally Uninspiring! The fact we keep so damn busy, means we don’t have the time to even figure out what our hopes and dreams even are, let alone commit to the self empowerment methods needed to make them manifest. We tend to be programmed to feel guilty or irresponsible if we even contemplate risking what we have or do now, in exchange for a “warm and fuzzy” intuitive idea or desire, that we can only simply defend by saying it has our “heart’s stamp of approval”.

Lets look at your job for instance, do you enjoy anything about it? Does it contribute to your daily happiness? Whether you’re aware of it or not, we choose to look at anything we are doing in life with positive or negative vision. Positive vision means we will make the most of any given circumstance we find ourselves in the present moment, BUT it does not allow us to feel unempowered, as IT knows we are in control of our lives and change is but a choice away. Negative vision means you currently feel like a victim to your circumstances and have no other choice. You hate your job, but feel you have to keep going if you are to keep paying the bills, (even though you also keep complaining your job pays a pittance), you dislike the fact that you seem unappreciated or perhaps how little time you have to spend with family – you may feel continually stressed and uptight….the problem is, you don’t know how to make it better…you feel trapped!

Many people find themselves trapped and don’t really think there is any way out. Their inner voice tells them those all too frequent headaches & colds they suffer are a symptom of the mental dis-ease they are feeling, but hey! they ignore this and continue on with their mantra… “I have no choice, so just suck it up sunshine!”. Unfortunately, we can be very committed to remaining trapped and pretending we are victims to our circumstances…that is until something significant happens which alters our perspective on life. More often these days, this light bulb moment comes when we experience a serious health problem and are forced to stop and take stock. Yes, disease can be one of the greatest catalysts for personal change. When we are suddenly faced with our own mortality we reappraise our lives and what is most important to us. But does it really make any sense to wait until we are staring at death’s door? Of course it doesn’t, but so much of our life is placed on auto-pilot or permanently “on hold” waiting for that elusive ideal time for change.

Tim Ferris says it straight:

Conditions are never perfect. ‘Someday’ is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. If it is important to you and you want to do it ‘eventually’, just DO it.”

However, the endless stream of excuses we are capable of conjuring is mind blowing!! “I’ve got plenty of time; I’ll just wait until the kids have grown up; I can’t bear the thought of any more changes right now; I don’t have the money; I don’t have the time; I don’t have the support; I don’t deserve it; I feel guilty; I’ll think about it when I have my life more in order…blah, blah, blah…” The familiarity of habit, doing what we “know” and what we consider is our best dependable option, is the very fortress that infact entraps us into believing there is no better path.

I’d like to share with you something that of course you’ve known all along…YOU and only you are in charge of what you do with your life. No-one but your own self imposed mind talk is keeping you from attaining your happiest, most inspired and exciting life of true value to you and others. Self empowerment is the Act of embracing every moment as an opportunity for growth, it is choosing a lifepath that allows us to aim higher, gain greater insight into who we are and what makes us tick, to have the courage to find our true purpose and passion to bring our unique gift to the world and be an active creator of what we truelly desire from life. Self empowerment brings with it true meaning to our existence…is it really possible?

Yes, yes and YES!!

I think Steve Jobs said it so well:

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other peoples’ thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truelly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
